Nostalgic Exhibit

My sister and I grew up together in central Florida, in the USA. Even though it was the early 2000’s, the south was still figuring out new technology. So me and my sister got a taste of both the late nineties and early 2000’s. As many children do, we subjected our pets to dress up, argued over turns with the family computer, and helped each other beat game levels. Within my art I try to add lots of details that your memory would usually overlook. When looking upon these illustrations I feel it helps to look at the details. Within my McDonalds illustration I can almost smell the stale fries and feel my shoes sticking to the ketchup stained floor. I can hear my cat growling as we stuff him in another princess skirt, as my sister falls into a laughing fit that sounds like Donald Duck. And I can hear my dad scolding me for putting my bare feet on the wall under the table, as my sister and I get Goldfish cracker crumbs all over the floor. I hope my niche nostalgia is something everyone can relate to in their own way.
